Why I’m the slowest car on the road

Over the past few years I’ve noticed I’m usually the slowest car on the road.

Today, find out why.

And hear about one of the decisions/ choices I’ve made that causes it!

And then, if you dare, listen to how your own driving decisions are directly affecting the society we live in today.

Click to play the video below to reveal all.

In case you’re wondering: yes, my wife gets totally embarrassed whilst everyone else is passing us!

We all have a multitude of decisions to make everyday, and I’d love to know why you think it is OK (or not) to exceed the speed limits. Seriously, whilst I am not yet convinced that my own desires and assessment of safety are more important than the law of the land I choose to live in, you may have some valid reasons for speeding that I’d like to hear about.

Please let me know in the comments below what you think about speeding/ ignoring the laws of the road/ whether or not driving has become a right more than a privilege, and any other related thoughts.

As always, I reserve the right to delete any inappropriate comments.

  1. Good for you Mr. Brown and I’m proud of you for posting this on the web. I will follow you by slowing down on the highway. BTW, who took the video of you driving?

    • Glad to hear it! Tis the same on local streets as well, though. LOL: There are still many states where it is not illegal to use a hand-held device whilst driving… 🙂

  2. Like you, I am also the slowest car on the road as I too like to follow the speed limit. I ratify everything you have said it the video…except the immigrant part. I believe we all have a duty to follow the law, immigrant or not. I am an Indian who lives in India and I too choose to follow the law.

    • Excellent Surajit! We may sometimes disagree with the law but that doesn’t exempt us from it – there are ways and means to get laws changed. Glad you’re on board… stick with it!

  3. Good for you! I may not be the slowest car on the road, I do believe in following the speed limit laws, which were put in place to help keep us safe on the road.

  4. Me too Stephen. I also always try to drive at or a little below the speed limit. But that does not make me the slowest car on the road. I have been behind cars driving far below the speed limit, perhaps they are drunk, lost, or distracted, but it does happen. In this case I drive slow until it is safe to pass. I recently drove the bay-side bridge and discovered a perfect example of out of control speeding. Keep up the good work. There are a few of us obeying the rules. I was about 20 mph slower than the other traffic. Interesting I found that the UPS truck drivers were driving at the speed limit also.
