Steak Non-Dinner

I’m upset that the photo of tonight’s culinary taste explosion evaporated. Instead, enjoy this picture of one of my cats:

I was mostly pleased with tonight’s dinner: We started with fresh asparagus soup with a hint of cream and a lemon squeezed over it, which tasted awesome… the amount that we got to eat. The blender melted after just the first batch, but at least we’ve got plenty more for the freezer until we can replace the blender.

Then it was grilled pepper steak tips resting over a hefty bed of spinach, fresh basil, vine tomato chunks, and just-cut-off-the-cob sweet corn, drizzled with organic olive oil, a squeeze of lemon and sprinkled with shaved pecorino romano cheese.

My mouth is still watering.
